AUDITIONING FOR BROADWAY MUSICALS WORKSHOP

WORKSHOP CON JONATHAN FLOM

Jonathan Flom will present a two-day intensive workshop on auditioning for musical theatre, from the Broadway perspective. Topics will include: Branding to help you choose repertoire; What to wear; How to deal with the piano player; How to conduct yourself in the room. Students will be asked to have music prepared to sing, as the workshop will include coaching demonstrations.

FLOMJONATHAN FLOM is the head of Musical Theatre at Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, Virginia. He is also the author of Get the Callback: The Art of Auditioning for Musical Theatre and Act Like It’s Your Business: Branding and Marketing Strategies for Actors. He has directed professionally in New York City, Chicago, and various other parts of the United States, as well as Fredericia, Denmark (A New Brain, Danish premiere). In addition, he recently directed the Regional/College premiere of Green Day’s American Idiot at Shenandoah.
